'Candid camera prank' malicious application on Facebook!

Hi frnds, today i am going to tell you all about a new malicious application on Facebook. This application is named 'Candid camera prank'. I noticed this on Facebook on 15th of May 2010. This seems to be a video and it prompts user to click on it but when user clicks on it, it redirects him to an application where it asks user to allow to share his personal information on Facebook and as soon as user allows it, it prompts user to download a media player by saying that 'Your video player is out of date' and when the user do so and runs that file on his system, a link gets posted using your avatar to all your friends on Facebook saying 'no doubt it is the sexiest video ever'.

Well, actually in between all the procedures you performed as mentioned above, it gets into your system and leaves malicious files in your system like Trojans and Viruses. Judging by the number of messages posted on Facebook, thousands of people received this attack. If you were one of them, you should scan your computer with an up-to-date anti-virus, change your passwords and be aware of these kind of tricky applications in future.
Happy Facebooking!
