Hi frnds, today i am going to tell you this useful and fun trick with the help of which you can hide your system's shut down button if you are using Microsoft's Windows XP operating system. This tip is very useful if you want to restrict someone to shut down your system.
The tip is as follows:
- You are required to be logged into your computer with
administrative rights.
- Click Start and type regedit in Run option to open Registry Editor and then press Enter for next.
- Here find and click on:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Policies\Explorer
- Here in right side panel, right click and create a new DWORD value with name NoClose.
- Now assign number 1 to its value data box.
- Now close the registry editor and restart your computer.Thats it, you are done! And if you want to reverse the whole procedure i.e if you want to unhide the shutdown button later, then simply change the value of data box to 0 or just delete the DWORD item. And yes, don't forget to restart your system again... Enjoy.
