Finally Facebook launches the 'Panic Button' for kids!

Hello frnds, this is an informative post related to your very own social networking site Facebook. Facebook finally has a kid-friendly 'panic button'. The social networking site has teamed up with a child protection agency to install an application aimed at protecting kids online from the age group 13-18 years.
For the first time, Facebook users will be able to contact a number of online sources for help if they encounter suspicious behavior. The site is working with the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Center, according to AFP.com.
The new app represents a sudden change of policy for Facebook, which has been resisting requests for a panic button even after a teenage girl’s murder last year was linked to the site.
Now Facebook users can bookmark the ClickCEOP service or even add it as an application by visiting http://facebook.com/clickceop. Also an ad for this will appear on the homepage for Facebook users who list themselves as between 13 and 18.
Calling this “a good day for child protection,” Child Exploitation and Online Protection Center CEO Jim Gamble said, “By adding this application, Facebook users will have direct access to all the services that sit behind our ClickCEOP button which should provide reassurance to every parent with teenagers on the site,” he told AFP.com. “We know from speaking to offenders that a visible deterrent could protect young people online.”
